Largest operator in California’s emerging community solar market

First project delivered in 2024, with savings already flowing to thousands of subscribers

Helping shape policies that bring clean energy savings to more California families

Dimension is expanding access to community solar—bringing immediate bill savings to residents while building a scalable model for affordable clean energy.

The challenge

Despite significant solar development in California, local residents — especially low- to moderate-income households — are often left without access to its benefits. At the same time, rising energy costs continue to put pressure on households and businesses that have historically had limited access to affordable clean energy solutions.

Solar Panels
Our approach

As the largest operator in California’s community solar market, Dimension is delivering direct, measurable savings to California residents. Our first projects, completed in 2024, are already reducing energy bills for thousands of subscribers. Beyond project development, we are helping shape the future of community solar in California by engaging in regulatory proceedings and advocating for pro-solar market policies so more families can benefit from affordable, locally generated clean energy.

Being able to lower customers’ bills with our programs, and on top of that offer the discount from community solar is huge. I’ve seen customers save $40 to $60 a month. That’s enough to make a big dent in hard-working families’ financial burdens."

These projects are local. They're close to the communities and homes that they serve. They're a great pathway for workforce trainings and careers in green energy too. The time is right for community solar to become a big part of the clean energy market moving forward."

Out of high school I was working in the fields, but there's really no future in that. So then when I heard about [Dimension’s workforce program], I was like, this will lead me to more future opportunities. Instead of being out in the field, I'd rather do this. I basically have a second chance in life."
